S-3508 : Still Just a Bill

The Vice Chiefs Parity Act (S. 3508) aims to ensure equal rank among the Vice Chiefs of the U.S. military branches. Specifically, it amends Title 10 of the United States Code to:

• Mandate that the Vice Chief of the National Guard Bureau hold the grade of general.
• Direct the Secretary of Defense to designate the position of Vice Chief of the National Guard Bureau as exempt from certain limitations on general and flag officer positions.
