S-2154 : Still Just a Bill

The Kosovo Defense Cooperation Enhancement Act, also known as S. 2154, amends Section 1251 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 (10 U.S.C. 333 note) to:

• Include the Republic of Kosovo in the list of Eastern European countries whose national security forces can receive training during multilateral exercises with the United States.
• Extend the authorization for this training from December 31, 2024, to December 31, 2026.

In short, this bill extends the period in which the US military can train Eastern European national security forces, and it includes Kosovo in that list.
