HR-5071 : Still Just a Bill

The Space Force Legacy Guardian Recognition Act (H.R. 5071) amends Title 10 of the United States Code to allow the Secretary of the Air Force to designate certain former members of the Air Force as honorary separated members of the Space Force, also known as "Legacy Guardians."

• Recognition: Allows for a certificate, device, or insignia to be issued to those designated as Legacy Guardians.
• Limitations: States that this designation does not entitle the individual to any additional benefits beyond those established by the Act or its regulations.
• Eligible Individual Defined: Defines an eligible individual as someone who served in support of space operations as a member of the Air Force and has separated (or previously separated) from the armed forces as a member of the Air Force.
