HR-3087 : Still Just a Bill

This bill revises the Department of Defense Mentor-Protege Program, under which disadvantaged small business concerns are assisted in participation as federal contractors.

The bill permanently authorizes the program and removes its pilot designation, requires the establishment of performance goals, and modifies the definition of a business for purposes of the program, allowing it to be up to the size standard according to its primary North American Industry Classification System code.
